MOREHOUSE -- Allie Roney Shaffar, 95, of Chetopa, Kan., died Thursday, May 4, 1995, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 15, 1900, in Hamlin, Ky., daughter of Paul P. and Ora Lee Miles Farrell. She and Hartwell Marion "Bud" Shaffar were married Sept. 9, 1928, in Morehouse. He died Feb. 18, 1979...

MOREHOUSE -- Allie Roney Shaffar, 95, of Chetopa, Kan., died Thursday, May 4, 1995, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.

She was born March 15, 1900, in Hamlin, Ky., daughter of Paul P. and Ora Lee Miles Farrell. She and Hartwell Marion "Bud" Shaffar were married Sept. 9, 1928, in Morehouse. He died Feb. 18, 1979.

Shaffar moved to Chetopa a year ago from Morehouse.

Survivors include a son, August Shaffar of Joplin; a brother, Guy Farrell of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; a sister, Naomi Love of Morehouse; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two stepsons.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
