Kenneth D. "Redbone" Morton, 57, 1823 Rampart, died Thursday, May 18, 1995, at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Advance, son of Louis and Martha Fowler Morton. He and Marlene Messmer were married Oct. 1, 1960, at Kelso.
Morton had been employed by John L. Hay Barge Line, and had been a driver with Cape Ready Mix and Gelco Trucklines. He was a member of Elks Lodge and Eagles Aerie.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tonya Remick of O'Fallon, Stacey Morton of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Grace Shadownes of Rockville, Md., Jobyna Daume of Cape Girardeau, and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. An Elks service will be held at 7.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
