Cape Girardeau attorney Donald A. Fee, 69, 1815 N. West End Boulevard, died Thursday, June 1, 1995, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

He was born May 16, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ira Arthur and Vada Gaines Fee. He and Peggy Pettigrew were married Oct. 2, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.

Fee received a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1952. He was a claims adjuster with State Farm Insurance from 1952-63. He had been in private law practice here since 1963.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Post 3838, Missouri Bar Association, and charter member of Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Fee of Cape Girardeau, Kip Fee of Baker, Fla.; a daughter, Jan Cotner of Jackson; three brothers, Albert Fee of Lutesville, Lawrence Fee of Cape Girardeau, Ronald Fee of Jefferson City; a sister, LaVern Griffaw of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
