CHARLESTON -- Mildred Dyer, 92, of Charleston, died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at Charleston Manor. She was born March 18, 1903, in Mayfield, Ky., daughter of George Lafayett and Alice Sara Bell Lay. She and Joe Hale Dyer were married Jan. 6, 1934. She died Sept. 25, 1973...

CHARLESTON -- Mildred Dyer, 92, of Charleston, died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at Charleston Manor.

She was born March 18, 1903, in Mayfield, Ky., daughter of George Lafayett and Alice Sara Bell Lay. She and Joe Hale Dyer were married Jan. 6, 1934. She died Sept. 25, 1973.

Dyer had lived in Mississippi County since 1934, and was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Nolen of Wyatt; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
