Rubye S. Brown, 82, of Kansas City, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, June 12, 1995, at St. Luke Northland Hospital in Kansas City. She was born May 30, 1913, in Martin County in Tennessee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Robinson Spencer. She married Elwood Brown Sept. 20, 1932, at Steele. He preceded her in death Aug. 21, 1983...

Rubye S. Brown, 82, of Kansas City, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, June 12, 1995, at St. Luke Northland Hospital in Kansas City.

She was born May 30, 1913, in Martin County in Tennessee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Robinson Spencer.

She married Elwood Brown Sept. 20, 1932, at Steele. He preceded her in death Aug. 21, 1983.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She moved to Kansas City last year.

Survivors include three sons, Skip Brown of St. Louis, S. Dean Brown of Indianapolis and C. Gene Brown of Kansas City; 71 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. today.
