PHILOMENA STELZRIEDE

PERRYVILLE -- Philomena Stelzriede, 90, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 28, 1904, in Belgique, daughter of John and Mary Cornelius DePauw. She and Peter B. Nuyt were married in 1923. He died July 17, 1945. She later married Lyle A. Stelzriede in 1946, who died July 13, 1954...

PERRYVILLE -- Philomena Stelzriede, 90, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born Aug. 28, 1904, in Belgique, daughter of John and Mary Cornelius DePauw. She and Peter B. Nuyt were married in 1923. He died July 17, 1945. She later married Lyle A. Stelzriede in 1946, who died July 13, 1954.

Stelzriede had been a cook at City Tavern.

Survivors include two sons, Glennon Nuyt of Russellville, Ky., Alexander "Turtle" Nuyt of Perryville; a daughter, Donna Johnson of St. Charles; a stepdaughter, Patricia Harvey of St. Louis; two sisters, Odehlia Martins and Anna Gremaud of Perryville; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, three brothers, four sisters and a stepson.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Friday, and after 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
