DONGOLA, Ill. -- Clifford E. Needham, 88, of Dongola, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna. DONGOLA, Ill. -- Clifford E. Needham, 88, of Dongola, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna.

He was born March 2, 1906, in Ullin, son of Lewis Harrell and Mary Jane Watkins Needham. He married Ruth E. Corzine, who died in 1961. He later married Catherine Reichert, who died in 1991.

Needham was a former village clerk of Dongola. He served in various capacities on the board of First State Bank of Dongola for 60 years, retiring in 1994 as chairman.

Survivors include two sons, Neal Needham of Dongola, William Needham of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Saturday and until service time Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William McGhee officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
