VERNON L. HEIMBACH

JACKSON -- Vernon L. Heimbach, 96, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 23, 1898, near Sparta, Ill., son of Albert and Ella McManus Heimbach. He and Leona Fatchett were married Sept. 22, 1929. She died Aug. 22, 1979...

JACKSON -- Vernon L. Heimbach, 96, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 23, 1898, near Sparta, Ill., son of Albert and Ella McManus Heimbach. He and Leona Fatchett were married Sept. 22, 1929. She died Aug. 22, 1979.

Heimbach farmed in the Burfordville area until retiring in 1980 and moving to Jackson. He was an active member of Burfordville Baptist Church, and was a deacon many years.

Survivors include a son, Vern A. Heimbach of Jackson; a grandson, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Patrick Tankersley and Carl Stroder officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Old City Cemetery.
