BLOOMFIELD -- Ruth Irene Denton, 83, of Hinsdale, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995, at Hinsdale Hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1911, at Frisco, daughter of Oscar and Emily Garrett Helderman. BLOOMFIELD -- Ruth Irene Denton, 83, of Hinsdale, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995, at Hinsdale Hospital.

She was born Aug. 16, 1911, at Frisco, daughter of Oscar and Emily Garrett Helderman. She married Raymond Denton, who preceded her in death.

Denton was formerly of the Bloomfield and Dexter communities.

Survivors include three sons, Lowell Denton of Burr Ridge, Ill., Larry Denton of Hinsdale, Robert Denton of Millersville; three daughters, Lois Haralson of Gilbert, La., Carolyn Denton of LaGrange, Ill., Debra Denton of Atlanta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Olive Branch General Baptist Church near Essex, with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
