BERTRAND -- Theron "C.T." Coots, 73, Bertrand Route 1, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 30, 1921, in Flippin, Ark., son of S.F. and Dora Galloway Coots. He and Mildred Alvey were married Sept. 23, 1946.
Coots was a landowner and farmer, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Dogwood United Methodist Church, and Charleston Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, DeWayne Coots of Bertrand; a daughter, Deborah Dugan of Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Lan Coots of Advance, Zan Coots of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Gwen Beck of Matthews, Eloise McBride of Irving, Texas; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harold Norton officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
