ARTHUR V. GARD

GIDEON -- Arthur Vernon Gard, 80, of Gideon, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, at Gideon Care Center.

He was born Oct. 31, 1914, in Craighead County, Ark., son of Arthur Francis and Idabelle Beights Gard. He and Gladys Steward were married Nov. 17, 1934. She died Dec. 16, 1990.

Gard had lived in Stoddard County most of his life, and was formerly of Dexter. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Gard of Pontiac, Mich., David Gard of Bloomfield, Donald Gard of Dexter; two daughters, Pamela Gard of Athens, Tenn., Jane Gard of Kelso; a sister, Louella Henderson of Fisk; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Curtis McClard officiating. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery at Puxico.
