GRACE B. STURGEON

SIKESTON -- Grace B. Sturgeon, 82, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Marston, daughter of Charles Franklin and Goldia Jane Haynes Skalsky. She and James Dillard Sturgeon were married Nov. 30, 1932, in Sikeston. He died Nov. 17, 1983.

Sturgeon first worked at International Shoe Co., then as a salesclerk at Graber's, and later was housekeeping supervisor at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include a son, James Sturgeon Jr. of Saugus, Calif.; a brother, Orville Skalsky of Sikeston; a sister, Millie Helms of Sikeston; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Ray Allen and Greg Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
