PERKS, Ill. -- Ruby Perkins, 95, of Perks, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna. She was born Jan. 27, 1900, in Bertrand, daughter of James Walter and Hattie Hutchinson Bolen. She and Willace Perkins were married Sept. 6, 1919. He died Jan. 18, 1978...

PERKS, Ill. -- Ruby Perkins, 95, of Perks, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born Jan. 27, 1900, in Bertrand, daughter of James Walter and Hattie Hutchinson Bolen. She and Willace Perkins were married Sept. 6, 1919. He died Jan. 18, 1978.

Perkins was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Lula Fisher and Thelma Landis of Dongola, Velma Harper of Vienna, Wilda Eldridge and Mary Ridings of Murphysboro; a son, Lloyd Perkins of Murphysboro; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jesse and Walter Perkins; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Anders officiating.
