MALDEN -- Funeral service for Broadus Lee Presser of Malden will be held at 10 a.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden. The Revs. Charlie Shrum and Cliff Goss will officiate, with burial in Memorial Gardens at Kennett.

Presser, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

He was born April 30, 1905, in New Franklin, son of John Lee and Ada Mae Smythe Presser. He and Mary Iola Pyland were married March 28, 1942, at Steele.

Presser had been co-owner of Presser-Wagster Drug Store in Steele and Holland, and had been a pharmacist at drug stores in Steele, Malden, Campbell and Dexter. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Presser served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stephen Presser of Atlanta, Ga., William Presser of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sandra Kingree of Bloomfield; a sister, Dorothy Pyrtle of Desloge, and six grandchildren.
