WARDELL -- Edith Marie Long, 50, of Wardell died Friday, Feb. 24, 1995, at her home.
She was born June 8, 1944, in Monroe, La., the daughter of O.M. Fowler and Kathleen Blaizer Fowler.
In August 1966 she married Ernest Long at Wardell, who survives.
For the last 28 years she worked as a teacher in the Pemiscot Special School District at North Pemiscot School in Wardell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wardell.
Survivors are: two sons, Douglas Long of Wardell and Daniel Long of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Susan Long of the home; three brothers, Alex Fowler of Lilbourn, Willie Fowler of Sikeston and Fred Fowler of Bernie; three sisters, Elizabeth Bolton of Malden, Talitha Eggar of Prescott, Ariz., and Betty Jo Alderson of Wardell; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will begin today at 5 p.m., at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wardell, with the Rev. Kevin Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
