AUGUSTA M. GAGNEPAIN

PERRYVILLE -- Augusta Mary Gagnepain, 89, of Perryville, died Friday, March 10, 1995, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1906, in Perry County, daughter of Albert and Matilda Layton Pouyer. She and Joseph Wallace Gagnepain were married in 1937. He died Nov. 4, 1982.

Gagnepain was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Ladies Charity and Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include three sons, the Rev. John Gagnepain, Eugene Gagnepain of Ferguson, Joseph Favier of Perryville; a daughter, Lucy Brenner of Jefferson City; two sisters, Anna Stohr and R. Mae Laws of St. Louis; a brother, Bert Pouyer of Brewer, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 Sunday.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. John Gagnepain officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
