PERRYVILLE -- Ruth Brown, 83, of Perryville, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center. She was born June 13, 1912, in Perry County, daughter of T.B. and Mayme Cox Sanders. She and Edgar Brown were married Feb. 25, 1940. Brown was a retired teacher. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association...

PERRYVILLE -- Ruth Brown, 83, of Perryville, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born June 13, 1912, in Perry County, daughter of T.B. and Mayme Cox Sanders. She and Edgar Brown were married Feb. 25, 1940.

Brown was a retired teacher. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Sandra Hunter of Decatur, Ill., Carla Lawrence of Poplar Bluff, Phyllis Hoffman of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Sanders of Perryville, Frank Sanders of Green Castle, Ind.; a sister, Iva Morey of Perryville; five granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and from 6:30 a.m. to service time Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerold McBride officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
