ANNA, Ill. -- Carrie Mowery, 91, of Anna, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born Oct. 19, 1903, in Union County, daughter of Oliver and Ida Kohler Hileman. She and Howard E. Mowery were married April 4, 1924, in Union County. He died April 15, 1946...

ANNA, Ill. -- Carrie Mowery, 91, of Anna, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

She was born Oct. 19, 1903, in Union County, daughter of Oliver and Ida Kohler Hileman. She and Howard E. Mowery were married April 4, 1924, in Union County. He died April 15, 1946.

Mowery was a member of Mill Creek Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold "Jake" and Robert Mowery of Anna; three daughters, Janet Woods of Elgin, Louise Barnhart of Louisville, Ky., Deloris Jackson of South Elgin; a brother, Lowell Hileman of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren, and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
