Gilbert A. Reineke, 82, of 2807 Quince died Friday, July 7, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born May 21, 1913, at Waseca, Minn., son of Albert and Sarah Remund Reineke.

He and Betty Lou Dowling were married Sept. 11, 1943, at Cape Girardeau.

He worked for the Missouri Utilities Co. for 29 years, retiring in 1978 as superintendent of the gas and water metering department.

He was a flight instructor of cadets at Harris Field from 1942 to 1943.

He was of the Methodist denomination.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Reineke of Creve Coeur; a daughter, Nancy Chapman of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
