William Francis Reagan, 74, of Greenville, S.C., died Saturday, July 8, 1995, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Savannah, Ga., son of Thomas J. and Annie Miles Reagan.
Reagan was an associate professor emeritus of French at Furman University. He was a graduate of Emory University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he received his doctorate degree. He was a member of the Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. He also served in the Army in England during World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth McNeely Reagan, of the home; a son, Richard Reagan of Cape Girardeau; and a brother, Thomas J. Reagan of Savannah, Ga.
Service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Buncombe Street United Methodist Church Chapel in Greenville. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Ga.
The Mackey Mortuary in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
