BENTON -- Morris D. Young, 63, Benton Route 1, died Monday, July 17, 1995, at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Grants Farm, Ill., son of John Tunis and Jennie Myrtle Baldwin Young. He and Catherine Pearl were married Oct. 15, 1955, in Attica, Ind.

Young retired as a mechanic at Procter & Gamble in 1989. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, John and Steve Young of Benton, Michael Young of Belton; a daughter, Cathy Blattel of New Hamburg; two brothers, Gene Young of Benton, Charles Young of Pekin, Ill.; two sisters, Irene Thrasher of Alamogordo, N.M., Lilly Kunz of Alexandria, Ill., and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton after 5 p.m. today. The rosary will be at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Denis Church, with the Rev. James Seyer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery at Morley.
