MOUNDS, Ill. -- Donald Eugene Cruse Sr., 62, of Pocahontas, died Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland.

He was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Mounds, son of Ralph and Bessie Mize Cruse. He and Dorothy Hafford were married Nov. 22, 1952, in Piggott, Ark.

Cruse was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Local 100 of East St. Louis. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Pocahontas 41 years ago from Mounds.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vicki Cruse of Northville, Mich., Beverly Mollett of Pocahontas; a son, Donald Cruse Jr. of Pocahontas; four sisters, Evanell Rocha of Cahokia, Ruth Chancy of Pulaski, Rosemary Parker of Jonesboro, Ann Rodgers of Keysport; his stepmother, Evelyn Cruse of Mounds, and a grandson.

Friends may call at May Funeral Home in Pocahontas from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Penn officiating. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery at Pocahontas.
