ANNA, Ill. -- Agnes Coats, 88, of Anna, died Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at City Care Center.

She was born Aug. 5, 1906, in Union County, daughter of George Felix and Cora Hardy Barnhart. She and Herbert Coats were married May 12, 1926. He died Feb. 5, 1989.

Coats and her husband owned the former Coats Antiques. She was a member of First Christian Church in Anna and Jonesboro Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include a son, Herbert Coats Jr. of Mulberry Grove; two daughters, Anita Hargis of Mesa, Ariz., Jean Kohler of Jonesboro; two sisters, Bertha Coleman of Greenville, Kathryn Dillow of Thonotosassa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son and five brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
