PERRYVILLE -- Helen C. Mecker, 79, of Perryville, died Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1916, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Ed and Mary Schabbing Buchheit. She and Elmer Mecker were married Feb. 23, 1938. He died June 15, 1980.

Mecker was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Marvin Mecker of Perryville; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:45 a.m. Friday. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
