GRASSY -- Paul W. Varner, 72, of Grassy, died Wednesday, July 19, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 30, 1922, at Naylor. He and Retta J. Smith were married July 23, 1949. Varner was a retired supervisor with McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Co. in St. Louis. He moved to this area in 1982 from High Ridge. GRASSY -- Paul W. Varner, 72, of Grassy, died Wednesday, July 19, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 30, 1922, at Naylor. He and Retta J. Smith were married July 23, 1949.

Varner was a retired supervisor with McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Co. in St. Louis. He moved to this area in 1982 from High Ridge. He was a member of Marble Hill VFW Post 5900.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rebecca Eagle of Spanaway, Wash., Georgia Virnig of Ash Grove, and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
