Edna Mae McLaughlin, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 22, 1995, at Chateau Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 6, 1909, at Fruitland, the daughter of Reuel and Dell Swan Morton. She married Jesse J. McLaughlin on May 30, 1925, at Jackson. He preceded her in death in October 1983.

McLaughlin was a homemaker for many years. She also was a member of the Maple United Methodist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Navy Mothers, Westside Senior Citizens and the Retired Teamster's Golden Jubilee Club.

Survivors include three sons, James Donald McLaughlin of Collinsville, Ill., Harold McLaughlin of Layton, Utah, and Paul "Tiny" Masterson of Lafayette, La.; a daughter, Maralyn Bunk of St. Louis; three sisters, Elda Masterson of Cape Girardeau, and Ruby Moll and Vera Hager both of Jackson; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, where funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate, and burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
