Ruth B. Brown, 75, of Oroville, Calif., died July 17, 1995, at Olive Ridge Care Center. She was born July 23, 1919, at Liberty, daughter of Clyde and Katherine McElreath. She married Otto E. Dietrich Dec. 30, 1944. He died in November 1951. She later married Charles L. Brown July 7, 1956, in St. Louis. She was a graduate of Randles High School...

Ruth B. Brown, 75, of Oroville, Calif., died July 17, 1995, at Olive Ridge Care Center.

She was born July 23, 1919, at Liberty, daughter of Clyde and Katherine McElreath. She married Otto E. Dietrich Dec. 30, 1944. He died in November 1951. She later married Charles L. Brown July 7, 1956, in St. Louis. She was a graduate of Randles High School.

Brown lived in Palo Alto, Calif., from 1969-76, moving to Oroville in 1976.

She was an administrative assistant 20 years with electronic companies in St. Louis and Palo Alto, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ed Brown of Gilroy, Calif., Otto Dietrich of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Norman McElreath of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Beard of Pekin, Ill., and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be private.

Scheer Memorial Chapel in Oroville is in charge of arrangements.
