Katherine J. Lohr, 85, of the Lutheran Home, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 2, 1909, in Colchester, Ill., daughter of Robert O. and Dimple VanAlstine Jarvis. She and Loren L. Lohr were married June 8, 1932, in Camp Point, Ill. He died Dec. 5, 1986.
Lohr received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, and master's degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
She was a second grade teacher at South Grade School and Southwest Grade School in Sikeston many years. She was manager of Dunn Hotel Coffee Shop in Poplar Bluff from 1949-52.
Lohr was a member of First Christian Church, Kingshighway Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, and a founding member of Retired Teachers Association of Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include a son, Jim Lohr of Cape Girardeau, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and brother.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
