Carolyn Peer-Hammonds, 39, 1829 Weissinger, died Friday, July 28, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 11, 1956, in LaGrange, Ark., daughter of Turner and Eula Noel Peer Sr. She and Jerry Hammonds were married May 11, 1985, in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Hammonds of the home; a stepdaughter, Tamara Hammonds of Jefferson City; her mother of Southland, Ark.; two brothers, Turner Jr. and John Peer of Milwaukee; five sisters, Ernestine Benton of Kankakee, Ill., Valerie Webb of Chicago, Ocie Brown of St. Louis, VeEtta Simmons of Marion, Ark., and Darlene Moss of Madison, Wis.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. James AME Church, with the Revs. David Allen and Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
