FROHNA -- Paula Anita Verseman, 85, of Frohna, died Monday, July 31, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 21, 1910, at Frohna, daughter of Theodore Samuel and Lina Koenig Kaempfe. She and Alvin Walter Meyer were married April 14, 1940. He died May 28, 1981. She and Ernst Verseman were married April 19, 1988.
Verseman was former owner of East Perry Bowling Lanes. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Courtney Meyer of Seward, Neb., Marvis Meyer of Dixon; three daughters, Imogene Unger of Frohna, Pearline Degenhardt of St. Louis, Ritha Hacker of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Alida Kaempfe and Milda Monti of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Church, with the Rev. Luther Herman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
