Ella Helen Costello, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 3, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1902, at Red Bud, Ill., daughter of Nicholas Aloyisious and Mary Susan Meier Hagene. She married Dan Costello who preceded her in death.

Costello was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic parish and the St. Vincent's Women's Council.

She was employed as a seamstress for Barad Clothing Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis and O'Fallon, Ill. She also worked at Monsanto Chemical Co. during World War II. She had previously worked at Gates Rubber Co. in Denver.

Survivors include a daughter, Therese Pierce of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Joseph Hagene of Belleville, Ill.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, eight brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
