OAK RIDGE -- Funeral service for Lonnie Joe Grebe of Oak Ridge will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy. The Rev. Fred Rister will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and then at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. to service time.
Grebe, 32, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, at his home. He had been ill since age 17 and had been waiting for a heart transplant since April.
He was born Feb. 25, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, son of Lonnie and Shirley Hahs Grebe. He and Jennifer Dysinger were married Nov. 12, 1994.
Grebe graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1981, and farmed with his father. He was a lifelong member of New Salem Church, was a former member of Oak Ridge Jaycees, and was a drag car racing enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Oak Ridge; three sisters, Sandra Rhodes of LaBelle, Penny Myers of Friedheim and Vicki Grebe of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
