ANNA, Ill. -- Jessie Inez McCarver, 84, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 12, 1995, at the home of her grandson near Golconda.

She was born Sept. 17, 1910, in Cobden, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Henderson Hankla. She married Von Ollis McCarver Dec. 24, 1930. He died Nov. 28, 1983.

McCarver was a member of the Anna Baptist Church and was a retired elementary schoolteacher.

She is survived by a daughter, Honey Lou Medlin of Anna; two brothers, Raymond Hankla of Jonesboro and Clifton Hankla of Orange, Calif.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Monday.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
