EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Betty Sue Garner of Marion, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Rudy Bond will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Garner, 55, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1995, at her home.

She was born Oct. 9, 1939, in East Prairie, daughter of James and Ethel Cannon Reynolds. She and Edgar Lee Garner were married April 8, 1956.

Garner moved to Marion in 1994 from Cleveland, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Eddie and Timothy Garner of Medina, Ohio, Lester Garner of Chester, Ill., Stephen Garner of Strongsville, Ohio; two brothers, James Reynolds of Morehouse, Vivian Reynolds of state of Florida; seven sisters, Verla Light of Moline, Ill., Velma Sisney of Morley, Lucy Stalcup of Sikeston, Rachel Waters and Melba Holmes of Bertrand, Carol Burton of Vanduser, Donna Schaeffer of Charleston, and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
