CHARLESTON -- Arnold Williams, 72, of Charleston died Friday, Aug. 18, at his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Tennessee, son of D.C. and Lessie Arnold Williams. CHARLESTON -- Arnold Williams, 72, of Charleston died Friday, Aug. 18, at his home.

He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Tennessee, son of D.C. and Lessie Arnold Williams.

He was a retired custodian for United Methodist Church in Charleston.

He is survived by two brothers, Jack Williams of Waterloo, Ill., and Gayle E. Williams of Sikeston; two sisters, Faye Crum of East Prairie and Carresse Neal of Nashville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston.

Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Shelby Funeral Chapel, with Brother Hulon Ray Neal Jr. of Abingdon, Va., and Brother David Neal of Hillsboro, Tenn., officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
