MOREHOUSE -- Leland E. Love, 85, of Morehouse, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1995, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born April 19, 1910, near Sikeston, son of Earnest and Myrtle Hart Love. He and Naomi Ferrell were married June 7, 1941, in Rockford, Ill.
Love moved here in 1935 from Gideon. He was retired from Himmelberger-Harrison at Morehouse. He was a member of First General Baptist Church at Morehouse and taught Sunday School several years, was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, and a brother, Herschel Love of Glen Ellyn, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 5-8 p.m. today. DAV Chapter 47 of Dexter will conduct a memorial service at 7.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First General Baptist Church, with the Revs. Randy Thomas and H. Worth officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
