JACKSON -- Funeral service for Rose Jones of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnny Seabaugh will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Jones, 70, died Monday, Aug. 21, 1995, at Jackson Manor, following an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 27, 1924, at Fredericktown, daughter of William and Bertha Cook Walker. She and Eddie Jones were married in 1943. He died March 5, 1954.

Jones retired from International Shoe Co. in 1989.

Survivors include two sons, William R. "Bill" Jones of Oak Ridge, Robert Jones of Dix, Ill.; a daughter, Brenda Jerrell of Anna, Ill.; a brother, Jay Walker of Doe Run; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
