BESSIE L. PRESSON

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Bessie Lee Presson of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Presson, 89, died Monday, Aug. 21, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1905, in Allen Springs, Ky., daughter of Jesse and Mary Harmon Holland. She and Thomas Edward Presson were married March 8, 1944. He died May 2, 1974.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Wheelis of Sikeston, Geneva Maranco of Oroville, Calif.; a brother, Odell Holland of Peoria, Ill.; three grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
