William James Lankford, 59, of Wilber, Neb., died Friday, Aug. 25, 1995, at the Wilber Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 7, 1935, at Dover, Ark., the son of James Corelis and Mildred Beatrice Baxter Lankford. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include five sons, James, Leslie and Harold Lankford, all of Chaffee, David W. Lankford of Delta, and Dennis J. Lankford of Montana; a stepson, Jay Westfall of Washington; a brother, C.J. Lankford of Wilber, Neb.; a half-brother, J.D. Lankford of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; nine sisters, Josephine Capps of Bell City, Leona Lesch of Delta, Ina Adams of Solo, Nita Bagwell of Cape Girardeau, Lela Jaco of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Sharon Rogers of Greenville, Mary Land Lyon and Kathy Razer, both of Chaffee, and Elaine Shuls of Villa Ridge, Ill.; a half-sister, Virginia Hall of Ft. Payne, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Wayne Kinder will officiate, and burial will be at Union Park Cemetery.
