ESTEL E. ROSENTHAL

ANNA, Ill. -- Estel E. Rosenthal, 81, of Anna, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, at Union County Hospital.

He was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Perry County, Mo., son of John Henry and Mary Susan Beard Rosenthal. He and Geraldine Shasteen were married July 2, 1938.

Rosenthal was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna, and Carpenters Local 638 of Marion.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sue Whiting of Dunnellon, Fla., Shirley Van Hoose of Fairview Heights, Brenda Hurt of Jonesboro, Sharon Webb of White Pine, Tenn.; a brother, George Rosenthal of Grandview, Mo.; a sister, Gertrude Vincent of Wolf Lake; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
