DONGOLA, Ill. -- Harold S. Schluter, 90, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1995, at his home. He was born May 11, 1905, in Dongola, son of Charles Frank and Birdie Jane Lee Schluter. He and Beulah George were married Nov. 25, 1928. She died Aug. 18, 1994...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Harold S. Schluter, 90, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1995, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1905, in Dongola, son of Charles Frank and Birdie Jane Lee Schluter. He and Beulah George were married Nov. 25, 1928. She died Aug. 18, 1994.

Schluter was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Ludene Rice of Roach, Mo.; two sons, Ray Schluter of Dongola, Bob Schluter of Cobden; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donald Poole officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 6 p.m. today, and at the church Friday from noon to service time.
