ROBERT W. SCHWAB

WAPPAPELLO -- Robert William Schwab, 73, of Wappapello, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 1995, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, son of Henry and Josephine Schaeffer Schwab. He and Ruth Hargrove were married Feb. 6, 1949, in Sikeston.

Schwab was retired from Missouri Highway and Transportation Department. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lions Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Weinhold of Wappapello; a son, Robert Schwab of Rochester, Minn.; two brothers, Norman Schwab of Cape Girardeau, Edward Schwab of Bonne Terre; a sister, Geneva Wyatt of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Wappapello Cotrell Chapel after 7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mike McDevitt officiating. Burial will be in Little Brushy Cemetery.
