PRISCILLA M. CATES

WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Priscilla M. Cates, 91, of Wolf Lake died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1995, at the Hillside Terrace Nursing Facility in Cobden, Ill.

She was born Feb. 23, 1904, at Cobden, daughter of John and Ollie Sitter Manninger. She and Ray E. Cates were married April 18, 1936. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1979.

Cates was an elementary schoolteacher in the Tygett, Wolf Lake and Granite City districts before retiring. She was a member of the Wolf Lake United Methodist Church and the Jonesboro Eastern Star.

Survivors include two nieces, Patricia Williams of Cobden and Cynda Crown of California; five nephews, Charles R. Daisy of Greenville, Ill., John E. Manninger of Crockett, Texas, and Jeff, John and Steven Manninger, all of California.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, Ill.

Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Prather officiating.
