Funeral service for John Rodney McEwing of Bonne Terre, formerly of Cape Girardeau, was held Friday in Syracuse, Neb. Burial was in Johnson, Neb.

McEwing, 75, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born March 15, 1920, at Deering, son of John B. and Elizabeth Hart McEwing.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha; two sons, John McEwing of St. Charles, Ill., David McEwing of Portland, Maine; a daughter, Kathleen McEwing of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Robert McEwing of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Benita McEwing of Cape Girardeau, and four grandchildren.
