ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for R. Lee Williams of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Steve Shepherd will officiate, with burial in Trinity Cemetery.

Williams, 86, died Monday, Oct. 23, 1995, at Hillside Terrace Nursing Home in Cobden.

He was born July 27, 1909, in Union County, son of Ralph and Mabel Hileman Williams. He married Jewell Miller in 1931.

He was a member of First Christian Church and former member of Anna Kiwanis Club.

He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale He was principal at Anna Junior High School 38 years. He also farmed for many years east of Anna.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dean Williams of Anna; a daughter, Carol Williams of Willow Springs; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
