Funeral service for Evelyn L. "Dolly" Jenkins, 831 S. Ranney, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Johnnie Thomas will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.

Jenkins, 61, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.

She was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John H. and Helen Marie Johnson Spicer. She married Fred Lewis Jenkins, who died Jan. 15, 1976.

Jenkins worked for the Burton Gerhard family many years. She also worked in food service 12 years at Southeast Missouri State University, and at Head Start 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include two sons, John Jenkins of Cape Girardeau, Jerome Jenkins of Blytheville, Ark.; four daughters, Mary Swan, Avis, Pamela and Donna Jenkins, all of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Spicer of St. Louis, Robert Spicer of Los Angeles; a sister, Alberta Kemp of Milwaukee, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
