DEXTER -- Duane K. Mallory, 61, of Dexter died Saturday, Oct. 28, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1933, at Chenoa, Ill., to Melvin and Irene Runyon Mallory. He married Gladys Mae Mardis at Bloomington, Ill., Feb. 10, 1957. He represented Ward 1 on the Dexter Board of Aldermen, a position he held for 15 years. DEXTER -- Duane K. Mallory, 61, of Dexter died Saturday, Oct. 28, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 18, 1933, at Chenoa, Ill., to Melvin and Irene Runyon Mallory. He married Gladys Mae Mardis at Bloomington, Ill., Feb. 10, 1957.

He represented Ward 1 on the Dexter Board of Aldermen, a position he held for 15 years. He also served on the Governor's Committee for Employment of the Handicapped.

He was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.

Survivors are his wife; his stepmother, Ollie Stonehocker Mallory of Trout Creek, Mont.; three daughters, Denise Eubanks and Karen Fortman, both of Dexter, and Lori Davis of Crossville, Tenn.; eight brothers, Mac Mallory and Donald R. Mallory, both of Dexter, James A. Mallory of Ocean Springs, Miss., Gerald Mallory of Normal, Ill., Lonnie L. Mallory of Biloxi, Miss., Charles H. Mallory of Roby, Senior Master Sgt. Kenneth D. Mallory of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., and Dennis Mallory, address unknown; three sisters, Irma Crank and June Bowman, both of Dexter and Ruth Tippen of Bloomfield; two stepsisters; five stepbrothers; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
