Gene Raymond Slinkard, 60, 2611 State Highway V, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born June 17, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, son of Raymond Lee and Margaret Hood Slinkard. He and Vickie Ward were married June 1, 1971, in Hernando, Miss.

Slinkard was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Mitchell McNeely of St. Charles, Jim, Boyd and Jon Edmonds of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sharon Farrow of Cape Girardeau; a sister, LaVerne Slinkard of Cape Girardeau, and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Covington officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Scopus.
