MARBLE HILL -- Eathel L. McClanahan, 86, a resident at Bond Nursing Home in Marble Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 23, 1909, at Brinkley, Ark., daughter of Isaac O. and Louisa Gower Mitts.

On Oct. 14, 1933, she married Alvy McClanahan at Columbia, La. He preceded her in death in November 1978.

She was a member of the Baptist church and a retired licensed practical nurse.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. T.A. Minetree of Muscle Shoals, Ala., six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

A graveside funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
