ALTENBURG -- Donald Hecht, 49, of St. Louis, formerly of Altenburg, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995, at his residence in St. Louis. He was born April 4, 1946, in Perry County, son of Benjamin Charles and Olga Pilz Hecht. He was a systems technician with Southwestern Bell. ALTENBURG -- Donald Hecht, 49, of St. Louis, formerly of Altenburg, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995, at his residence in St. Louis.

He was born April 4, 1946, in Perry County, son of Benjamin Charles and Olga Pilz Hecht.

He was a systems technician with Southwestern Bell. He was a member of Communications Workers of American Union Local 6310.

He is survived by his mother, of Altenburg; a son, Keith Hecht, St. Peters; a daughter, Kimberly Hecht, St. Peters; brothers, Robert Hecht of Altenburg and Dale Hecht of Pocahontas; and sisters, Carol Henderson of Overland, and Karen Waltamath of Omaha, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Service will be today at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg with the Rev. Charles Weber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
